Deacons are Spirit-filled men who set an example for the entire congregation to emulate. They provide counsel to the pastor regarding his vision. They protect the church from divisions and dangers. They support the church with their talent, time and tithe. They participate in the programs of the church with prayer and enthusiasm. They actively seek to disciple those who attend the church. These men display a quality of leadership and a spiritual maturity that qualifies them for the title “Deacon.”
