News from Calvary Gospel Bookstore:
Each month the bookstore features a new book, selected to edify,
uplift and educate those seeking a closer relationship with our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. July’s book of the month “The
Hour that Changes the World” by Dick Eastman was selected
to provide hope for the United States as well as the rest of the
world. In his book, Dick Eastman suggests that one divide an hour
into 12 periods of 5 minutes each. This soft cover is a delightful
and educational read, i.e. praise and worship, thanksgiving, etc.
Discover a wonderful level of closeness to our Lord and Savior as
you draw near to Him in prayer. Hope thou in God: for I shall yet
praise him for the help of his countenance. Psalms 42:5

Summer Camp, June 21 through August 27
Have you made plans for your children’s summer activities
yet? We are currently registering children ages 6 through 12 for
our camp which runs from Monday, June 21 through Friday August 27th.
For $200 a week your child will have a summer of fun-filled activities
(discount of $15 for 2nd ,3rd child etc.) You may choose as many
weeks as you would like for your child to attend. The camp is limited
to 50 attendees per week. We provide one camp counselor per every
ten children that attend.
The camp fee is all-inclusive. Every week the children’s
days are filled with adventure. Swimming at one of our local pools
is on the schedule every Monday. Tuesdays and Thursdays the children
head out to Six Flags park—one day is for the rides and the
other day is spent at the water park. Entrance fees are covered!
On Wednesdays a special field trip is planned each week.: Ice Skating,
Roller Skating, Spy Museum, Air and Space Museum and other destinations
are on the schedule. Snacks and lunches are provided daily. The
camp opens at 6:30AM and closes at 6:30PM. Our camp is one of the
best camps in Waldorf according to some of the parents who have
sent their children here. When your child grows up and thinks back
to the summers he loved the most, his summer at this camp will be
a favorite at the top of his list!
Remember to write a note to the Pastor on the back
of your envelope if you have a special request or message for him.
He will personally address your inquiry.
